Patanjali Coconut Oil Review & Photos

Hello Everyone!

Coconut Oils have become such a rave around the world today. But we Indians have been using it since ages and undoubtedly this is king of all carrier oils. It acts as a great base for essential oils as well. The best form of coconut oil, will surely be that which contains least amount of chemicals and this one is totally safe as it is edible!

Patanjali Coconut Oil comes in a clean white opaque plastic bottle with a cap that can be flipped open. Travel wise one must be careful as there are chances of spillage.  The fragrance of the oil is very natural and reminds of pure coconuts. I must admit that I am not so much of a fan of the smell ( I only like the coconut fragrances made by 'Bath And Body Works' ). This is the prime reason behind which I add essential oils to this product. Texture wise the oil is clear and light weight. It is not thick or difficult to wash off.  In cold temperatures the oil does solidify.

My Experience:
I usually mix a few drops of essential oil (rosemary, lavender, peppermint etc) with the Patanjali Coconut oil for added benefits. The essential oils blend easily with the coconut oil and work wonderfully for my hair, making it soft and shiny. I have also used it successfully as a base ingredient in my hair growth diy here . The key here is to use this coconut oil regularly with some kind of essential oil (targetting your hair issue) to get best results.
Apart from hair, regular use of Patanjali coconut oil also healed my dry dehydrated hands and feet. Tip- Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to the coconut oil for fresh smelling feet!

Pros-
  • soft shiny hair
  • non greasy
  • conditions hair well
  • great base oil for essential oils
  • edible and pure
  • heals dry skin
  • affordable
  • no chemicals
Cons-
  • not travel friendly
  • people who dislike coconut fragrance will have to bear with it

"Out of all the Coconut Oils I have used since childhood, this one is the best. It is affordable, chemical free and effective. The claim of being edible is a proof of its purity. If it is good for my tummy, then it surely is good for my hair! Recommended!"
