Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Essential Oil Review

Today I am going to discuss a very common but important issue 'Pimples/Acne'. As a teenager I had flawless spotless skin but as I entered 20s my skin started getting extremely dry, sensitive and break out prone. I have dry skin so most of the products made for adult acne are extremely drying for me, so I avoid them. 

There are a few spot treatments for breakouts (had my eyes on la roche posay effacular duo) but they are so expensive and not easily available in Indian Stores so I tried something which was affordable and sworn by many since ages.

The Aroma treasures Tea tree Essential Oil is said to be suitable for all skin types and helps in fighting fungal infections,athletes foot and nail viruses.

Anti Fungal, Anti Viral and Antibacterial Properties

The oil has a strong fragrance but it does not sting or burn my sensitive skin.I have been using the tea tree essential oil on my troubled spots directly with the help of a clean cotton swab.I usually leave it overnight on my pimples. When I wake up the next morning I usually witnesss that the zit has reduced to half its size or in some cases even almost vanished (leaving a tiny mark behind). The oil helps to dry out the pimple without causing flaking or overdrying of the skin. I have not witnissed any redness in or around the area of application. Those who find the application of neat tea tree oil a bit harsh can dilute it with some other base oil/ aloevera gel.

Athough 10 ml sounds like a tiny size, the bottle lasts for a very long time as only a drop of tea tree oil on my zit works wonders! 

Besides using the Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Essential Oil as a spot treatment I have also been adding 2-3 drops of it with other base oils to get rid of dandruff and itchy scalp this winter. Also I have found that breathing in tea tree infused steam relieves me from congestion. 

" Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Essential Oil is a natural way of getting rid of pimples. It has soothing properties which work effectively without over-drying my skin. However the oil does not help in reducing acne scars. I have been using Bio oil for this purpose. Do you have any other suggestions?"
