Earthy Make Up: Piku Inspired Look

Hey Doves!

So I recently watched Piku and I loved Deepika's easy go breezy look. The look relates to each and every Indian lady, married or unmarried. She looks stylish and comfortable in her outfits. Her makeup is simple with her eyes being the centre of attraction. We mostly see her with bold eyebrows and naturally smudged black kajal in the film. The look is not a dramatic one and hence her eyelashes have been kept almost natural. Deepika's cheeks and lips have beautiful earthy rosy tones which cannot be ignored!

Face- As far as her face makeup is concerned, her skin looks fresh and clean, sort of naturally plumped up! One cannot notice any dramatic highlighter on her face, but yes there is a natural glow going on. There was no dramatic contouring bronzing going on either, however her cheeks looked naturally flushed. I would call it earthy and warm!

Products Used:

1.The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream
2. L'Oreal Paris True Match Concealer
3. Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact Powder
4. Mac blush # Gingerly

Eyes-  Deepika's Eyes are the most beautiful part of the look. She uses jet black kohl to highlight her eyes and soft brown/earthy eyeshadow to deepen her eyes. I have tight lined my eyes to give it definition and smudged the kohl below the waterline for that smudgy effect. The eyeshadow used on her is natural looking, so there is no shimmer there either. I have used a matte brown eyeshadow in the crease area and blended it well to get her angelic deep set eyes. Her eyelashes almost look natural so I skipped the false eyelashes here. Also, the eyebrows are thick and bold.

Products Used:

1. Lakme Absolute kohl Ultimate
2. ELF 32 piece eyeshadow palette # Everyday
3. Maybelline The Colossal Washable Mascara

Lips-  Deepika's lips are kept natural with no shimmer or sheen. Her lips dont look glossy either. It looks naturally brown and moisturised. Hence this was the toughest part.

Product Used-
1. Maybelline Colorsensational Lipliner # Velvet Beige

This pretty much completes the entire look. But don't forget the 'Bindi' which is the heart and soul of this character!

" Deepika's look in Piku is natural, earthy and warm. The girl next door kind of look which is easy and wearable. If in one word I had to describe it then I would call it, Effortless. I am so in love with this easy go comfy look. What do you think of it? Do let me know in the comments below!"
