The FACE Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam Acerola: Review

Hello Ladies!

I am a big fan of Korean beauty products as they have a huge variety of products available in the cutest packaging possible. Fortunately The Face Shop products are stocked by Sephora India and they are perhaps the most reasonably priced brand in Sephora.
Today I am going to talk about The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam ( Acerola) which I have been using for over a year now. It has been described as a mild, natural cleanser, which brings more dampness with nine herbs and organic acid. For all skin types.
Price- Rs 400 for 170ml

Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion: Winter Friendly?

Hey Everyone,

Today I am going to discuss a cleanser that is a Derma Favourite. I have dry flaky skin which starts misbehaving the moment I use a harsh product.

Mango Breakfast Facial

Mango being the king of all fruits, does not only taste amazing but also has beauty benefits. Few months more and mangoes will no longer be available so let us make full use of this delicious fruit now!
I am not much into diy, I only indulge in homemade stuff when I actually find the diy procedure to be simple and very effective.

Mangoes are high in Vitamin A & C, which make it a power house rich in anti oxidants. This means mangoes impart younger looking skin, and thus prevents ageing.
Why is the word 'breakfast' added to the name of this facial? Simply because it includes almonds, oats and milk!
I like using raw milk as it has so many benefits which arent destroyed by boiling. It contains lactic acid and has various kinds of healing and skin lightening properties. Oats and almonds are excellent for exfoliation.

My Summer Skin Heroes: Part 1

Hello beauties, how have you all been? It is as hot as 42 degrees in my hometown. The percentage of humidity is also very high. Hence, my skin was showing signs of irritation and discomfort. I was facing severe breakouts, which were leaving behind stubborn marks. Also my skin was feeling dehydrated in some areas whilst oily in the others. To add to these problems I have uneven skintone which made my skin look worse.

The moment I realised that this skin condition was not normal, I sprang up and swore ''no makeup'' till my skin condition improves. I stopped using every product that I was using then and shifted to new products.

My first rescuer was Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser (price- Rs 85 for 50 ml). I have always seen myself going back to this cleanser during summers (when my skin breaks out) and this has never let me down. This is more of a ''love it'' or ''hate it'' kind of a product, and I am definately a part of the ''love it'' cult!
The Cleanser deeply cleanses the face and removes impurities. It is quite easy to wash off and it makes the skin squeaky clean. I see my pimples vanishing once i start using this product. The cleanser is of yellowish transparent gel like texture.

However the cleanser does dry out my skin. I always feel the need to apply some cream to moisturise my skin immediately after using this facial cleanser. This is the point where, my second rescuer comes into the picture- Olay Total Effects 7 in One Cream+ Serum Duo.

Never in the wildest of my dreams would I have thought that Olay would be so effective, and that one day I would be raving about it in my blog. This Cream+Serum Duo did wonders for my skin. I used it twice a day after washing my face, and in no time it solved the problem of my uneven skintone. It also helped to get rid of stubborn pimple marks on my skin. It did not cause any breakouts. The Duo does not leave behind any greasiness, and gets absorbed quickly. In no time it made my skin was glow and I was receiving compliments!

Priced at Rs 369 for 20 gms, The Olay 7 in One Cream+Serum Duo lasts very long. Also it is hygenically packed with a pump like dipenser. A cherry on the top, is that it offers spf 15, what more could one ask for?

I really adore these two products and i can say that these have been life changing for me. What makes me more happy is that they both are reasonably priced, effective and easily available throughout the country.

So this was part 1 of the 'summer skin heroes' , in the part 2 i will be talking about some other products that have been effective...probably a scrub or a toner.
Also I would love to know how you deal with  your Summer skin issues? Which products have been life changing for you? Do share!

Olay Moisture Balance Foaming Face Wash-Review

Hello darlings,

Today i am going to review a face wash which i had to use because i ran out of my regular face wash, and this one was lying around since a long time in my bathroom, untouched. It is the Olay moisture balance foaming face wash with vitamin e for normal to dry skin.

price- Rs 135 for 100g

Directions and Ingredients-

To begin with the product comes in a tube like packaging which is quite easy and hygenic to use. The face wash is creamy white in texture but is not thick, It is runny and lathers up quite well. The fragrance of the product vanishes away after face wash.

Coming to my personal experience with the product, the olay moisture balancing face wash did not help my dry skin to retain moisture. The face wash felt very soapy and hence my skin did not feel hydrated after usage. I always had to rush to apply a moisturiser after using this face wash.

Also, the product does not wash away makeup. Coming to the worst part- I was breaking out alot while using this product. Either the face wash was triggering breakouts, or it was doing nothing to help prevent them! The moment I shifted to another face wash my breakouts came under control.

Overall, the olay moisture balance foaming face wash failed to impress me. My skin did not like it's soapy feel and demanded for a change!

pros-

  • affordable
  • may work for oily skin
  • fragrance not over powering

cons-

  • did not help me with break outs
  • soapy feel
  • skin does not feel hydrated after application
  • not meant for dry skin
 Last Words-

My personal experience with the olay moisture balance foaming face wash was not very good. I definately wont re-purchase a product which did not help me with break outs.

Which face wash are you currently using? Do share :)
